Split PDF

Extract selected pages or split a PDF into individual files.

Processed locally in your browser — your file is not uploaded.
How is this private?

Processing happens in this browser tab, so files are not uploaded to Metyris for processing. Reloading or closing the page clears working data, though your browser may retain temporary files or downloads. Very large files can exceed available browser memory.

Practical guidance

Splitting helps when a recipient needs only selected pages or when one large document must become separate page files.

Selection and output

The tool accepts one unlocked PDF up to 100 MB and 1,000 pages. Enter ranges such as 1-3, 5, then create one PDF containing those pages or a ZIP with one PDF per selected page.

The original file is not changed. Keep it until you have checked every exported page.

Document features to recheck

A new PDF is built from copied pages. Document-level bookmarks, attachments, metadata, form relationships and embedded scripts may not carry across. Annotations and other page-linked structures should be checked rather than assumed preserved.

Splitting changes the document and invalidates existing digital-signature expectations. Password-protected or damaged PDFs are rejected; the tool does not remove encryption or sanitize active content.

Common failure cases

An invalid range, an empty selection, an unsupported PDF structure or insufficient browser memory stops the export with an error. Try fewer pages or a desktop browser for a very large scanned file.

Good to know

Can I use a password-protected PDF?+

No. Unlock it in a trusted PDF application first; Metyris does not bypass passwords.

Does processing reduce quality?+

Page-copy tools do not rasterize content. PDF-to-image tools render at your selected resolution.

Is my content uploaded?+

No. Processing happens in this browser tab and the tool does not send your content to a server.
